Cloud computing is becoming increasingly prevalent in today's world, with businesses of all sizes relying on the technology to store and manage their data. As more and more companies adopt cloud computing solutions, the need for skilled professionals in this area will continue to grow. Research suggests that by 2025, Poland alone may require up to 200,000 IT workers, including those specializing in cloud computing. In order to meet this demand and ensure that the technology is accessible and useful to all, it's essential that a diverse range of professionals work on it. This means not only hiring individuals from different backgrounds and cultures, but also promoting gender equality in the field. Unfortunately, like many areas of the tech industry, cloud computing is currently male-dominated. This needs to change in order to create a more inclusive and equitable industry. To address this issue, the Perspektywy Education Foundation has launched the TOP Women in Cloud Computing initiative. This program aims to recognize and celebrate women who are making significant contributions to the field of cloud computing, and to inspire the next generation of female professionals in the industry. The initiative will culminate in the Excellence in Cloud Computing Awards, which will be presented to the 10 most prominent female cloud computing experts in Poland during the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2023. By recognizing and promoting the achievements of women in cloud computing, we can help to create a more diverse and inclusive industry, and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to benefit from the power of cloud technology.
