Yuliya Kastsiuk

I am from Belarus and in 2015, I moved to Poland for my studies. I chose Lodz University of Technology, where I was awarded a scholarship. I studied Electronics and Telecommunications at the university. During my studies, I had the opportunity to participate as a mentee in the ITforSHE program. I also volunteered in the SHEforIT program and had a great time in the mountains, teaching children about electronics and robotics. Of course, I also had a fantastic 5-day camp experience with ITforSHE. During that time, I worked as a designer of fiber optic networks. I decided to go on an ERASMUS program to Germany and wrote my engineering thesis at IHP in Frankfurt. This allowed me to gain new experience in the field of fiber optics. After completing my studies, I started my master's degree, which included a dual program. One year in Poland and the second year in Italy. There, I experienced the process of studying in a country. After graduation, I decided to change my direction and pursue a career in development/testing. For the past 2 years, I have been working at Harman as an Associate Engineer. I am currently involved in a Mercedes project, where I focus on testing Engine Control Units.
