Dominika Blachnicka - Ciacek

Dominika Blachnicka-Ciacek is a visual sociologist and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sociology of the University of Warsaw. Her research and visual practice include transnational mobility, diaspora politics, and responses to the climate emergency. She led a “Times of Crisis' research project at the SWPS University which explored attitudes to climate crisis among young people in Poland - findings can be found here in the form of a report: https://issuu.com/dominika.blachnicka/docs/raport_klimatyczny_web  and here as a collection of short etudes: https://vimeo.com/417315229. She currently leads a 3-year NCN-funded research entitled: ‘Engage. Multi-sited ethnography of Ukrainian diaspora’s responses to war’.
