Małgorzata Górska

Polish conservationist with the Polish Society for the Protection of Birds (BirdLife Poland) [link: https://otop.org.pl/] as well she is a co-founder of the Greenmind Foundation [link: www.greenmind.pl] and the Foundation for Biebrza [link: www.dlabiebrzy.pl]. She is mostly concerned with the protection of wetlands' habitats. She is active member of the steering team of “Save Rivers” Coalition [link: www.ratujmyrzeki.pl] . 

Górska was the European winner of the 2010 Goldman Environmental Prize, a ‘green Nobel’ that is awarded annually to grassroots environmental activists to honour their achievements and leadership. She fought to stop a controversial highway through the Rospuda Valley and other natural sites in NE Poland. 

Recently she runs the campaign to save the Queen of Polish Rivers Vistula and other natural sites in Polesia region (recognized as Europe's Amazon) from damage by planned construction of international inland waterway E40 between Baltic and the Black See.
