Laura Koormann

Laura leads the Digital Solutions IT Team at Continental Tires. The diverse team of 30 software experts develops innovative data-driven applications for future mobility use cases with a strong focus on digitizing a traditionally non-digital product - tires. In her role, she has to bridge the gap between agile software development and a traditional manufacturing environment. She strongly believes in the people-oriented agile values of collaboration and cultivation and strives to actively contribute to this cultural change.

Prior to joining Continental, Laura worked at various Tech startups in China, Turkey, and Germany on both software and hardware products in project management and business strategy roles. Laura holds a Bachelor of Political Science from the Free University of Berlin, a Master of Political Science from the University of Hamburg, and a postgraduate certificate in Chinese Politics from East China Normal University. She is a strong believer in the liberal arts philosophy of learning how to think critically and always taking the human factor into account. Laura is passionate about diversity, intersectional feminism, sustainability, and technology.
