Anna Legierska

I am a Software Engineer at Goldman Sachs for almost four years. During this time, I have been working in the Client Assets team and currently in the Regulatory Engineering team.
In my day-to-day work, I play with different technologies like Java, Scala, Spark, Hazelcast, and Kafka. I am responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying solutions. I describe my work to my Grandma as stuff automatization that otherwise someone needs to calculate manually using a calculator/excel.

 I am a big fan of learning coding/technologies. Previous year and this year I am a mentor for three mentees inside and outside the firm to help them during the beginning of their professional careers. Apart from that, together with Perspektywy and Projector foundation, we organize coding lessons for kids. During my career I had a pleasure to play with over 100 kids during coding and learning new technologies.

Graduated from two fields of study: Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering (Computer Science and Electronics in Medicine specialization) at AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow.
My master thesis 'Super-resolution algorithms of diffusion magnetic resonance imaging data' was awarded in the Young and Innovative 2019 Competition.

I love mountains, traveling, skiing, biking, and exploring. For over 5 years I was part of the ski club. Completed the Green Velo trail - the longest bike trail in Poland (over 1300km in total). In June 2023 I am going to complete the Polish Baltic coast trail (Szczecin - Gdańsk).
Completed basic and advanced winter mountaineering courses in the Tatra Mountains.
