Gisha Babby

My name is Gisha and I joined Goldman Sachs right after graduating from college in 2000. I studied Computer Science and realized that I loved working with data and ended up at GS as a database administrator. I spent a number of years in this space working with many different internal clients (i.e. other teams at GS using our products). I then moved on to do various application development roles, all with a large focus around data. I moved to Warsaw in late 2019 after spending my whole career to date in New York City. Currently, I am a senior engineer, managing various data platforms, helping clients build out their data environments using our services, and building out our Warsaw team. Recruiting is something that I have been actively involved in. In addition to my normal functions, I have been active in the Women’s Network at GS, both in NYC and now here in Warsaw. I am passionate about encouraging women and girls to pursue careers in STEM. I enjoy staying active. Pilates, long walks, and hiking are among my favourite activities to do to relax and calm my mind. I also love to travel and make it a point to visit a different country every year.
