Theresa Winkels

Theresa Winkels has been Head of Office at the Düsseldorf Economic Development since 2019, as well as Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of the Digital Innovation Hub Düsseldorf/Rheinland GmbH and the Düsseldorf Innovation and Technology Centre DITEC GmbH. From 2018 to 2019, she was deputy head of the Office of Economic Development and, as head of department, responsible for the marketing of Düsseldorf as a business location. Between 2016 and 2017, she was the project manager in charge of the Grand Depart Düsseldorf 2017. Prior to that, she worked as an advisor in the office of the Lord Mayor of the state capital Düsseldorf from 2013 to 2016.

Ms Winkels holds a diploma in media management with a special focus on marketing from the University of Applied Sciences (FHM) in Bielefeld and a master's degree in literature, culture and media studies from the University of Siegen.
